How Pantone matching works on paper.

Hot foil (solid Pantone)

Best for logos, marks, and monograms in a single flat color. 37 foils available: 5 metallics + 32 solid Pantones covering the most-used brand colors (navy, forest, burgundy, sage, blush, etc.). Foil applied under heat and pressure — no ink bleed, sharp edges even at small size.

Full-color CMYK (Pantone-managed)

Best for artwork with multiple colors, gradients, photos, or complex illustration. We run a Pantone-to-CMYK color-managed build to hit your brand color as closely as possible. Note: CMYK cannot exactly reproduce every Pantone (particularly vivid oranges, deep blues, metallics) — we flag any color that will shift with a physical proof.

Which method fits your brand?

Simple logo in 1 flat color → hot foil (crisper, more premium). Complex artwork with 2+ colors or gradients → full-color CMYK. Metallic brand color (gold, rose gold, copper, silver) → hot foil (CMYK cannot print metallic). Send us your brand guide and we recommend.

Color-match proof included

Free digital proof before production showing your Pantone printed on your chosen paper color (white, ivory, ecru, blush, etc.). For high-stakes brand color match, we also offer a physical printed sample for a small fee — see the actual foil on paper before committing.

Pantone-Matched Custom Napkins FAQ.

Can you match my exact Pantone color?

Yes — for logos and marks in a single flat color, we offer 37 Pantone-matched hot foils. For artwork with multiple colors, gradients, or photos, we run a Pantone-managed CMYK build. Send your brand PMS number (or a physical brand sample) and we identify the best match, then send a proof before production.

What Pantone foil colors do you carry?

5 metallics (Gold, Rose Gold, Copper, Silver, Champagne) and 32 solid Pantone colors covering the most-used brand colors: blacks, navys, burgundies, forests, sages, dusty roses, sky blues, terracottas, and more. If your exact Pantone isn't in the stock foil set, we recommend the closest match and confirm with a proof.

Which is more accurate: hot foil or CMYK?

Hot foil is more accurate for solid colors — the foil is manufactured to a specific Pantone reference, no ink mixing involved. CMYK color-managed printing gets very close for most Pantones (typically ΔE <3), but cannot exactly reproduce every Pantone — particularly vivid oranges, deep purples, and any metallic. We flag any color that will shift meaningfully.

Can you match my invitation foil?

Yes — this is one of the most common wedding requests. Send the PMS number from your invitation designer, or a physical sample of the invitation. We match to the closest available foil and confirm with a proof. Metallic-gold-on-invitation matches TNC's Gold foil on napkin closely; specialty inks (rose gold, copper) match TNC's dedicated foils exactly.

Do you charge extra for Pantone matching?

No — Pantone color matching is included in every quote at no additional cost. Both hot foil and Pantone-managed CMYK are standard capabilities. Complex 5+ color artwork with tight color-match requirements may add setup cost, quoted case by case.

Can I see a physical printed sample before committing?

Yes — physical printed samples of your artwork on your chosen paper and color are available for a small fee (typically $15-40 depending on scope), refunded against your first production order. Recommended for high-stakes brand launches.

What if my Pantone shifts on paper vs screen?

That's normal — screens display in RGB and paper reflects in CMYK/foil. Send your PMS number (not the RGB hex from your web brand guide) and we'll match to the printed reference, not the screen preview. Physical proof recommended if screen-to-print consistency is critical.

Do you offer white ink or specialty foils?

Standard foils cover the 37 Pantones plus 5 metallics. Specialty finishes like holographic foil, iridescent, embossed foil, or clear-emboss are available for a surcharge on qualifying runs — ask when requesting your quote.
